    --- Cavil’s estate, West Buckland, comprising a messuage, out houses and 16 acres arable, meadow and pasture, and orchard, to use of friend James Pring, West Buckland, yeoman, and James Blackmore, Wellington, yeoman, for 500 years in trust: -- during life of Grace, wife of Ephraim Baker, to devote rents and profits for her benefit, remainders to Ephraim Baker for life, remainders to 6 grandchildren John, William, Thomas, Henry, Betty and Charles as tenants in common -- Annuity of £40 for wife Joan. On death of wife trustees are to raise £450 by sale if necessary. £250 to daughter Joan Bond, £200 to daughter Betty Hitchcock --- smith’s shop, West Buckland to daughter Grace Baker, subject to legacy of £20 to nephew William Richards Baker, after death of testator’s wife --- all wearing apparel to brother John and nephew James Hartnell, Wellington, labourer --- release of bond (25 December 1811) from son in law Joseph Hitchcock --- to wife, all plate and glass, and part of household furniture, remainder of personal estate, subject to payment of debt of £200 to Elizabeth Taylor, to daughter Grace Baker sole executrix: Grace Baker Witnesses: Charles Tanner, H.Coles, W.Holt Reservation: wife intends to give to Joan Bond the still and crock, the bureau bought from Mr Bonetts, Surrey, the looking glass in the parlour, the largest in the house, the silver cream jug, the little safe in the cellar 8 May 1818 1/- more per week to brother’s weekly shilling. Burial in a plain decent manner, bearers James Blackmore, James Pring, Ephraim Baker, Edward Bond, Joseph Hitchcock, John Baker the testator’s nephew His wife wishes to give her clothes ' what they don’t keep' to Mary Turner, Betty Hartnell, and any inferior things left to Patty Richards Codicil: May 25 1818, Joseph Hitchcock has fully paid the £200 January 2 1819.
