Letter from William Golding to John Rogers. Has met with Mr. Wait and Mr. Simco [Wait's brother in law] regarding Robert Baker's farm. Is going to London to see Hawthorn, who as a trustee, will not sanction any rent less than Rogers' proposition. Has told Baker that under the circumstances he has no alternative but to let the farm. Arranges meeting, at which rent and tenant (Wait or Simco) to be agreed.
