Not allowing parents into school lobby to help children change wet clothes; verbal abuse of child; teacher sanctioning a pupil creeping up behind and frightening another pupil; detentions resulting in pupils missing transport; children made to pay 1/6 to see ballet; children stung by bees from nearby hives; teacher’s reaction to village criticism regarding a child failing exams due to the teacher’s employing her as a messenger; child stained with paint; damage to child’s jacket while mowing the school lawn; small child pushed over by larger child in playground and injured; lack of progress by child; corporal and other punishment; spoiling of a child’s dinner; overzealous teaching of religious education; lack of discipline at school; paying for cookery lessons; use of a water pistol by headteacher; lateness of school taxi; Dunstable Trades Council complaint regarding treatment of child found with live ammunition; interviewing of a child after money was stolen; children changing into sports gear in an open field; appropriate wear for football; theft of a coat; criticism of a child for informing on another child he believed had stolen a knife; conduct of headteacher in running a school; bullying; punishment of a child for being an onlooker at a fight; injury whilst moving school piano; Attendance Officer’s visits to homes of two girls who had had considerable absences from school, allegedly due to difficulties with menstruation.
