Tenancy agreement.
(1) Robert Owen Watson, 30a, Mill Street, Bedford, secretary and receiver for the Trustees of the Hospital of St. John the Baptist, Bedford (the trustees)
(2a) Bertram Edward Odell, 10, St Helena Road, Bedford
(2b) Leslie Martyn Odell, 40, Rosamond Road, Bedford
(2c) Elsie Gwendoline Buck, 158, Coventry Road, Bedford, wife of William A. Buck (the tenants).
(1) lets to (2) messuage, garden, shop and premises at 22, St John’s Street, Bedford now occupied by them. Term: 3 years, commencing on 25 March 1964. Rent: £156 per annum.
Tenants agree: to pay rent, all rates and taxes, to keep interior of premises and all locks, fixtures and fittings in good repair, make good stoppages to drains, not to commit or permit nuisances, not make alterations to premises, not to assign or part with premises, to permit trustees or workmen enter twice during every year to ascertain condition, to yield up premises at end of tenancy.
Trustees agree: to keep outside of premises (except windows) and roof chimneys, main walls, drains and main timbers in good repair; if tenants perform obligations then they shall quietly enjoy premises without interruption; if rent be in arrears for 21 days then trustees may enter premises and terminate tenancy; tenants to pay and discharge costs of this agreement.
