- Scope and ContentHope Edmund [Williamson] has not engaged his vote against good neighbour's son. Entreat it on behalf on Lord Ossory and Mr Hampden. Expect my son has been happy at Millbrook. Have been writing to my tenants and freeholders. Denis is desired by Sir P. Monoux to vote for Ongley; Denis depends so much on Sir P. to provide for one of his children; but Gurney's ingratitude inexcusable. Lord Trevor in high spirits, but news of Lord Hardwicke's being against will give a damp. Had it been anyone except Mr. Hampton or Sir G. Osborn, I believe I should have given my little interest to Lord Ossory and Mr Ongley (Ongley a very unbiased member)
