    Matthew Bailey: a dealer of Wingfield in Chalgrave. On 3 March he had a coat in a cart under a hovel and a bag or sack. There was another sack in the barn. On 5 March he missed them. He found another sack in the barn which did not belong to him. He gave it to PC Hull. Jonathan Osborn: lived with his father at Tebworth in Chalgrave and helped in his father’s butchering business. On 4 March he found a sack on his father’s premises, on a fence at the back of the house. He put it under the hovel. They were missing 2 fowls, which he believed to be the ones produced. George Hull: a police constable stationed at Woburn Sands. On 4 March he was summoned to Weston’s lodging in Woburn Sands. At the lodgings he found some ducks and hens. The prisoner had a coat on. On 6 March he returned to Weston’s lodgings and found a bag. He also received sacks from Osborn of Tebworth and Bailey. Statement of the accused: nothing.
