Letter from Matthew Bigge to John Rogers. Refers to a cottage in Church Street let to Hachsley, one of 6 let at £6 p.a. The properties occupy an area of some 2250 yards in the most central position in the town, and might readily be utilised as shops, and the vacant ground for a manufactury or warehouse. Could not reduce the annual value to below £60. Mr Sharman claimed an allowance of 20% of this for repairs+, which Bigge cannot agree to.
