    Marriage Settlement i) Judith Sexton, late Ampthill, now St John’s Bedford, spinster ii) John Cottam, St John’s, innkeeper iii) Robert Sexton, Brick-kiln pastures, Ampthill, farmer George Austin, Shefford, Attorney marriage of i) and ii) [recites that i) is entitled to £300 @ 5% on mortgage of the estates of Richard Purratt Cripps and Joseph Cripps, Cranfield, with collateral security of life assurances: and also £250 on mortgage of the estates of William Harbett, Silsoe, @ 5%, and collateral security of promissory note] --- all recited securities. i) to iii) in trust during lives of i) and ii) to pay interest to i) for her sole use, on decease of ii) if i) survives him, then in trust for i), otherwise as directed in will of i) in default of direction in trust for John Cottam and Robert Sexton in equal shares as tenants in common. If and when principal is called in, it is to be invested in government securities.
