    Charter of George Earl of Shrewsbury and Henry Earl of Essex issued at the request of Thomas Duke of Norfolk and Lady Elizabeth his wife - grants manor of Willington with all appurtenances (excepting advowsons and patronages pertaining to Newnham Priory and Chicksands Priory) which they have through an Act of Parliament dated 4 February 1512 under which the manor and lordship was granted to them by letters patent dated 10 June 1529 - manor to be held by Duke and Duchess of Norfolk and their heirs from capital lord of the fee in perpetuity - possession of the manor to be given by their attorneys Peter Baron and Edward Copley
