- Scope and ContentOn 10 May 1869 James Woods ran away leaving his wife Mary Woods and his two children William Woods and Elizabeth Woods who became chargeable to the commun fund of the Biggleswade Union. It is also proved that James Woods on 16 January 1850 appeared before a JP and was convicted of being a rogue and vagabond for running away on 27 November 1849 and leaving his wife and one child chargeable to the parish of Blunham for which he was committed to the House or Correction to be kept to hard labour for 6 weeks. James Woods to be committed to the House of Correction at Bedford and kept to hard labour until the next Quarter Sessions.
