- Scope and ContentDetails given: Recites Articles of Agreement, dated 23 August 1750; on the marriage of his son Thomas Alston and Katherine Davis Boole; by which the said Sir Rowland Alston was empowered to charge estates in the counties of Northamptonshire, Kent and Middlesex, with sum not exceeding £4000. And his Agreement, of even date, with his son, not to charge the estates with any sum exceeding £2000. Bequeaths the said sum of £2000 to son Rowland, together with £10,000 out of personal estate; and devises to him his estate at Pavenham [no details], purchased of brother The Reverend Vere John Alston. Bequeaths £4000 to John Orlibar of Podington, esquire, and John Bullock of Sharnbrook, esquire, in trust for daughter Ann Pye, apart from the portion provided for her in the Marriage Settlement of Sir Rowland Alston and wife Elizabeth, now deceased. Also bequests for tombstone to late wife, and for repair of chancel of Odell Church, and to the Poor of Pavenham, Odell and Stevington.
