Deposition of Robert Evan Roberts of St Paul Bedford, Governor of the County Gaol - Harry Seymour, charged with escaping from prison. Had been convicted on 5 April 1870 of killing a sheep belonging to Samuel Nelson on 13 March 1870 and imprisoned for 12 months.

Harry Seymour now present is the Harry Seymour convicted at the April 1870 Quarter Sessions who had been delivered into his custody. Seymour was out of prison. He sent an officer who brought him back.
