    Removal order. Certificate stating that Catherine Boston was admitted to the workhouse 22nd November 1842. Statement of St Mary, Bedford, Overseer Isaac Clayton requesting removal of Catherine Boston as she is chargeable to the parish. Examination of Samuel Wing, Clerk to the Guardians of the Poor of the Bedford Union verifying the above. Examination of Catherine Boston: I am about 19 year sof age and am a singlewoman. I have done no act to my knowledge to gain a settlement in my own right. I am the person mentioned in the certificate of chargeability produced by mr Samuel Wing. Examination of Richard Boston of St Mary, Bedford, labourer: A few days before Old Michaelmas Day 1806 being then an unmarried person I was hired by Mr John Mawby of the Wine Vaults in the High Street in the paish of St Paul, Bedford as a household servant for a year at the wages of five pounds and my board and lodging. I entered Mr Mawbys s ervice as agreed upon and abided in the same service in St Paul until Old Michaelmas Day in the following year. Mr Mawby hired me for another year at advanced wages and I continued in is service until a little after Christmas following when my Master died. The above named Catherine Boston is my daughter by my late wife Maria (formerly Maria Bland, spinster) to whom I was lawfully married in the parish church of St John, Bedford 12th October 1811.
