    Details given: Recites demise, 21 June 1704, by Sir Henry Atkins to Sir Woolston Dixie of Sir Henry Atkin's inheritance from Thomas Atkins, esquire, his uncle, for the term of 500 years: -- capital messuage in the parish of Essendon, Hertfordshire, then or late in the tenure of William, Lord Berkeley -- Bedwell Park -- all Sir Henry Atkin's other land and property in Essendon. Proviso: term void if Sir Henry Atkins paid Sir Woolston Dixie £1600. £1600 not paid, term absolute. Recites assignment on 24 June 1765 of hereditaments comprised in term of 500 years to William Hayton, esquire, the other parties being (1) William Massingberd, esquire (2) Richard Gulielmo Gasparo Melchior Baltazaro Wynne otherwise Richard Wynne (3) Samuel Whitbread the elder, esquire. Recites will of William Hayton, dated 18 July 1806, devised all the estates of which he was a trustee to John Pensam. John Pensam appointed executor of William Hayton's personal estate as a trustee. Recites lease and release, 28 and 29 December 1813 between Samuel Whitbread and James, Marquis of Salisbury. Consideration £821 19s 3d paid by James, Marquis of Salisbury, to Samuel Whitbread: -- 3 acres 1 rood in High Mead in the parish of Essendon -- 1/2 acre pasture, part of it an island, one end abutting on High Mead (these pieces of ground formerly purchased by Richard Wynne from Sir Henry Atkins and Dame Rebecca Maria his wife, then conveyed with other Essendon property to Samuel Whitbread the elder by grandson of Richard Wynne, lease and release 24 and 25 June 1765).
