    Rachel Farrer: wife of William the beer housekeeper at Kempston. On 30 November the prisoner came to her house and said he was to have a pint of beer and half a crown to Amos Low. He said he had been with Low, up in the wood shooting. Low is a gamekeeper. She gave the beer and half a crown to Page and he also took another pint of beer which he paid for. She had not sent the prisoner since. Amos Low: a gamekeeper to Captain Newland and residing at Kempston. He did not authorise the prisoner to go to Mrs Farrer for a pint of beer and half a crown. He had never authorised him to do so. The prisoner had not been shooting with him in the woods. Statement of the accused: he was sorry for what he had done and would make sure it did not happen again.
