    Release Parties: (i) John Theed of Burystead, Mentmore [Buckinghamshire], gentleman and Joyes, his wife; Robert Nash of Marsworth [Buckinghamshire], yeoman and Dorothy, his wife (Joyes and Dorothy being daughters and coheirs of Edward Sculthorpe late of Puttenham [Hertfordshire], clerk, deceased); (ii) Thomas Woodward of Bedford, gentleman Operative Part: - (i) conveyed (a)-(e) to (ii) for £300 Property: (a) close of pasture of three acres in Bedford, Saint Paul and Bedford, Saint Peter de Merton called Cherry Orchard Close formerly used as a garden in the occupation of Thomas Smith now in the occupation of William Hill, innholder [of the Star] abutting: Queen’s Head Lane S; a pightle in the occupation of William Coombs W; Lurk’s Lane N; (b) tithes of corn and grain called The Burgess Tythe based on thirty six acres of arable in the common fields of Bedford called Burgess Land; (c) tithes of corn, grain and hay based on ten acres of arable in Newnham Fields, Bedford and Goldington abutting N and S on Burgess Land (b)-(c) in the possession of John Sugars Covenant - by (i) to levy a fine sur conizance de droit come ceo etc. Witnesses: - William Theed; - Richard Lovesey
