By Indenture dated 4th April 1826 now produced I was bound apprentice with the consent of the Masters, Governors and Trustees of the Bedford Charity to Thomas West of St Sepulchre, Northampton, shoemaker for the term of seven years. I served my master Thomas West under the Indentures and resided with him in St Sepulchre from the time of my binding for about five years when in consequence of a disagreement with him I left his service without his consent and came to live with my father in St Paul, Bedford, leaving my clothes at my masters house. After I had lived with my fatehr a few weeks my master came in search of me and I kept out of the way and never saw him after I had left his service until the term of my apprenticeship had expired.
