Scope and Content
a) Mansion House called Wootton House and farms etc constituting Wootton House Estate subject to Mortgages of £8000 & £1000; b) Furniture, pictures, plate, and other household effects belonging to messuage called Bourne End Farm (see Inventory of 8 August 1923); c) Furniture, fixtures, books and plants belonging to Wootton House (see Inventory of 17 May 1920) or any added since. Consideration: Purchase Money for a) £4473, b) £1250 c) £1500. 2) also received surplus stock from Bourne End Farm £553 5s 8d making a total of £7776 5s 8d. This is to be paid out by 1) as follows: to pay off R J Townsend's second Mortgage, dated 3 December 1913; to pay 2) £1000 owed; to discharge his overdraft of £2006 3s 3d owing 25 March 1923 to Westminster Bank Ltd, Bedford Branch; paying off debts of £1500 0s 6d; paying his solicitor £40 legal costs. As soon as 2nd Mortgage paid off 1) will execute the deed.
