    Details given: Recites will of Samuel Whitbread the grandfather [see first recital in Z 575/640]; indenture of lease and release dated 23 and 24 May 1798 between Jacob Yallowley, Robert Sangster and Samuel Whitbread, father of William Henry Whitbread, which recited death of Samuel Green the elder [originally a trustee]; Jacob Yallowley and Robert Sangster conveyed brewhouse to Samuel Whitbread the father [see second recital in Z 575/640], debts of Samuel Whitbread the grandfather remaining unpaid; Samuel Whitbread the father covenants to pay these debts. Recites will of Samuel Whitbread the father [see Z 575/640]; indenture of bargain and sale dated 23 April 1817 [ninth recital in Z 575/640]; renunciation of executorship and appointment of Samuel Charles Whitbread as trustee [fourth recital in Z 575/640]. Recites debt of £30,000 owed from estate of Samuel Whitbread the grandfather to trustees of pre-marriage settlement of Sir George Grey, baronet, with Dame Mary Whitbread, daughter of Samuel Whitbread the grandfather by his second marriage: i.e. £6000, Dame Mary's portion under marriage settlement of her father and mother and £24,000 secured by father's bond; with other debts and legacies of Samuel Whitbread the grandfather; securing of £30,000 by mortgage of estates of which William Henry Whitbread is absolute owner; release by trustees of £24,000 of debt from estates of Samuel Whitbread, grandfather and father; refusal to release grandfather's estate from £6000 debt; and settling of other debts by William Henry Whitbread. Recites total debts of £45,000 and sale of brewhouse [fourth recital in Z 575/640]; and desire for indemnity for William Henry Whitbread concerning any future call to pay off debts and legacies of Samuel Whitbread the grandfather. Covenant between William Henry Whitbread and William Wilshere and Samuel Charles Whitbread: property included in mortgage concerning marriage settlement of Sir George Grey and Dame Mary his wife, taking in indentures of lease and release, 31 December 1817 and 1 January 1818, is to secure the £30,000 in exoneration of claims on estates of Samuel Whitbread, grandfather and father. Whitbread estates, grandfather and father, indemnified against all claims for payment of the £6000. William Henry Whitbread to stand as creditor to those mentioned in schedule (below).
