- Scope and ContentExamination of Mary Ann Thody of Water Lane, Homerton, Hackney, widow of William Thody deceased, labourer. She was married to her late husband at West Hackney Church about seven years ago and hath issue thereof four children namely Eliza aged 6 years, Mary Ann aged 4 years, William Richard 2 years and Elizabeth aged one month. She has together with her four children become chargeable and been relieved by the Parish of Hackney and her late husband never paid more than 2/9 per week rent to the best of her knowledge and belief. Her said late husband deceased is teh lawful son of Richard and Elizabeth Thody now residing at Cotton End in the County of Bedford and that his said father and mother are legally settled parishioners of the twonship of Eastcotts in the said County of Bedford by living both of them when single as hired yearly servants for several years upto and prior to their marriage. Her said husband was born in the said township. Two copies.
