Removal Order and settlement examination for William Brockett, his wife Elizabeth and Ann their daughter aged about 5 years. Removal from St Lawrence, Ludlow, County of Salop, to Odell.

Examination of William Brockett: He is about fifty years of age, was born in Sharnbrook in the County of Bedford. His parents names were Andrew and Ann Brockett and he was born in lawful wedlock. His father's last legal settlement was in Odell in the County of Bedford. The Overseers of Odell relieved this Examinants father during his illness previous to his death and his father was buried at the expense of the parish. This Examinant saieth that he never lived as a hired servant twelvemonth at any one time, and he never was bound an apprentice, and he never did any act in his own right to gain a settlement. He verily believes his legal settlement to be the same as that of his father, namely in Odell. He has received relief dfrom the parish the last time was about four or five years ago. About eight years ago he married his present wife (late Elizabeth Hodgkiss) at the parish church of Leintwardine in the County of Hereford and has one child by his wife born in lawful wedlock namely Ann aged about 5 years in the month of june next, His wife is now very ill. Order suspended as Elizabeth Brockett unable to travel due to sickness and infirmity.
