    John Hughes of Hertford, publican examined as to the settlement of Emma Attack and Hannah Attack: He was well acquainted with Samuel Attack, the father of Emma Attack and Hannah Attack. He was found drowned in the river at Hertford on Saturday last. The Examinant further said that he was well acquainted with Samuel Attack his father, that at the time of the sons birth his father was residing in the parish of St Mary Bedford where he carried on the business of a millwright and occupied extensive premises of his own, his son Samuel Attack was born in the said parish of St Mary and continued to work with him and live at home till his father removed to St Paul, Bedford in which parish he also carried on business in premises of his own. The son continued to live with his father there on and off until he married. James Boudler relieving officer of the Bedford Union saith that he knew Samuel Attack who was found drowned in Hertford on Saturday last, leaving his children named Emma Attack aged 13 years and Hannah Attack aged 10 years, his wife died two or three years since and the children are now chargeable to the Liberty of Brickendon in the County of Hertford.
