Scope and Content
1) William Henry Wright of Rochville, Queens Town, Ireland; 2) Thomas Berkeley Hardtman the Elder, of the Island of St Kitts. In case of his death or absence, power of Attorney to Thomas Berkeley Hardtman the younger on Sir Gillies Payne Estate on St Kitts and all other plantations or lands in the island of St Kitts or elsewhere in the West Indies with all dwelling and other houses, mills, boiling houses, curing houses and still houses, rum houses, store houses, wharves, outhouses, edifices, building canes, coppers, utensils, implements etc AND all horses, mules, cattle, moveables and live and dead stock. Details powers to be exercised.
Changed in red ink: 1) Sir Philip Monoux Payne of Wootton House; 2) John Hart Hardtman Berkeley, Captain late of HM 83 and 107 Regiment but now of the island of St Christopher. Replacement in event of death or absence Henry Spencer Berkeley of the Leeward Islands (brother to JHHB).
