- Scope and ContentGilbert O’Neal Bloxham of Luton – he is 14 years old and a pupil at Henry Wright’s, the College, Luton. The knives now produced are his. They are worth 1s 6d. He left them in his best waistcoat pocket on 27 February. He did not see them again until James showed them to him on 11 March. He also had 3 copper coins like the Birmingham Ichen and the 2 French coins now produced. They were in his play box in the box room. Henry Wright of Luton, schoolmaster - Sinfield had the pupils’ clothes out to brush and also had access to the play box room. George James of Luton, Inspector of Police – on Saturday 5 March when Sinfield was in custody on other charges he searched his right hand waistcoat pocket and found the 2 purses now produced. He also found on him the 3 copper coins. Sinfield claimed he the purses we his and said he did not steal them. Frederick Sinfield – did not wish to say anything.
