- Scope and ContentEdward Auborn of Stotfold, straw dealer and beerhouse keeper - for the last 2 years Hatton has been in the habit of coming to his house for beer. About 18 months ago around June / July 1868 he missed a saw which was in the chimney corner in his house. About August / September of the same year he missed a pair of steelyards. About the later half of June / beginnning of July 1869 he missed a steel. All the articles were in the chimney corner. The articcles produced are his. He values them at 10s. James Page Chapman of Stotfold, police constable - on Thursday 9th he was searching the prisoner's house for stolen property and found the articles in a box.
