    Alfred Lambert of Stotfold, brickmaker - last January the prisoner was working for him. About that time he missed a saw. In March he missed 2 powder flasks and 2 pistols. Between March and June he missed one horse pistol barrel, 3 chisels, 3 files, one axe, one saw, one auger, 2 trowels and 3 gimlets. Some of the items were in an outhouse used as a workshop and some about the premises. All the articles are now produced and he identifies them as his property. He values them at 30s. James Page Chapman of Stotfold, police constable - on Thursday 9 December he went to Hatton's house at Stotfold to search for stolen property and found the articles now produced in a box. John Hatton - has nothing to say.
