Deed Poll in which Thomas Hawes of Bedford, gentleman, granted a toft or curtilage in Bedford, Saint Peter de Merton formerly in the occupation of John Hull and Goodyth, his wife, now William Lavender to William Lavender of Bedford, yeoman, (bought by Hawes from Peter Page of London, gentleman on 28 April 1604, Page having purchased the property from Henry Best and Edward Brytten of London, gentlemen on 16 May 1602, Best and Brytten having purchased them from Elizabeth I on 15 May 1602) for £33/5/8; witnessed by John Fitzieoffrey, Richard Lavender [by mark] and Thomas Berry
