He was at the sale at Highlands and bought a plough. He saw Samuel Coleman there and asked him to let him put the plough into his cart. Coleman agreed and he promised to help load the goods Coleman had bought. He put several of Coleman’s goods into the cart and seeing a lot of tin goods lying near to them asked if he had bought them. Coleman said he did not know – he did not know what lots he had bought and did not have a catalogue. He told Coleman the things must belong to him. Coleman said he did not know.
