- Scope and ContentHe is a police constable for Biggleswade. About 2pm yesterday Mr Sale sent for him. Sale gave Burrows into his custody on suspicion of robbing him. He searched Burrows but found no money on him. Sale promised to forgive him if he would return the money and beg his pardon. He took Burrows to Mr Handley's for safe custody and reminded him that Mr Sale had promised to forgive him if he begged his pardon. Burrow said he would . When Sale came Burrows dropped on his knees and begged his pardon for what he had done. He admitted in Mr Sale's presence that he put his hand in the till, opened it, took the money out and hid it in the privy where Mr Sale found it.
