    Reciting the surrender of Edmund Favell, miller, of Stevington, on 5 July 1867, of -- certain property held of the Manor of Steventon to the use of Joseph Knibb, Bedford, gentleman subject to condition for making it void on payment of £300 and interest On 25 March 1868 Joseph Knibb received from Edmund Flavell the sum of £600 (part of said £800) with interest to date, and assigned £200 balance to John Horrell, Oakley, farmer Reciting that Joseph Knibb made his will dated 17 June 1884 but did not appoint an executor thereof Joseph Knibb died on 27 July 1884 and was buried in Bedford Cemetery. Administration with will annexed was granted by Northampton District Registry on 14 August 1884 to Eleanor Knibb, the testator’s widow Reciting also the will of John Horrell dated 1 May 1858 by which he appointed his son, John Horrell, Thomas Henry Murfin and William Hipwell as executors and trustees. By a second codicil dated 13 August 1870 he appointed William Horrelll another executor and trustee. John Horrell of Oakley died on 18 August 1870. Will proved (Northampton) on 20 October 1870 Thomas Henry Murfin died on 12 March 1886 Reciting will of Edmund Flavell dated 3 July 1890 by which he appointed Robert Hull of Gwyn Street, Bedford as sole executor Edmund Flavell died on 9 July 1890 and was buried at Stevington. Will proved on 30 August 1890 by Robert Hull at Northampton Satisfaction has not been entered on the Steventon Manor Court Rolls in respect of said £800 and interest NOW Eleanor Knibb acknowledges that Joseph Knibb received all principal and interest due and owing Also John Horrell, William Hipwell and William Horrell acknowledge that they received all money owing to them by virtue of the assignment to John Horrell, deceased Also Eleanor, John Horrell, William Hipwell and William Horrell direct the Manor Steward to enter satisfaction in respect of the conditional surrender on the Manor Court Rolls Signatures of Eleanor Knibb, John Horrell, William Horrell Witnesses: W M C Burnett, clerk to Messrs Conquest, Clare and Binns, solicitors, Bedford, W Galley, St Ives, Huntingdonshire, J E Little, Peterborough. 16 Apr 1891 “original inrolled”13 May 1891
