    As to freehold hereditaments Indenture of Feoffment of 10 January 1804 i) William Bithray, Carlton, yeoman ii) Richard Pool, Stevington, baker consideration - £150 paid to i) by ii) i) enfeoffed to ii) --- pieces arable, ley and sward land in common and open fields of Stevington (12 acres) --- 2 acres being 8 lands lying together above Barnsey N William Wright, gentleman, then - S Thomas Faldo, then - --- 1 acre being 15 lands lying together on Budley Furlong abutting on Budley Highway N William Wright, then – S Joseph Baringer, then – --- 9 acres arable and sweard called the Fox in the Hole, Stevington NW ley land of late Lady Wastenholme and then of – called Pixhill SW common land from Pixhill E stripe of pasture called Nicholls Acre, belonging to Vicarage of Stevington --- 1 acre in South Field abutting on Barnsey Common being 11 lands and lying next Barnsey Common Road all late in occupation of Isaac Wheaton, and then of Richard Poole to use of Richard Poole endorsed with receipt and livery of seisin Inclosure Award of 27 February 1807 [Z706/1] Allotment to Richard Poole in lieu of freehold lands and rights of common in Stevington - piece land in Great Field (7 acres 2 roods 37 perches) bounded Windmill Lane, ancient enclosures of Thomas Alston and James Walker, allotments to Thomas Alston Will of Richard Poole, 29 January 1811 [Z706/2] ... to his wife, for life, and to son, William Poole, in fee (inter alia) - Mill Close and windmill standing thereon charged, after decease of testator’s wife, with annuity of £5 per annum to daughters, Sarah Pool and Sophia Pool, during minorities or until marriage Codicil made 18 April 1812 Will proved 19 October 1812 (Bedford) Mortgage of 8 April 1825 [see also X98/99] i) William Pool ii) Francis Green and John Green, Bedford, merchants consideration - £400 paid to i) by ii) i) demised to ii) --- 7 acres 2 roods 37 perches in Great Field --- Windmill standing thereon, then in occupation of i) term – 1000 years rent – 1 peppercorn, if demanded to be redeemed on payment of £400 and £1600 secured on copyhold property (total - £2000) Mill to be insured Indenture of further charge of 13 August 1828 [see also X98/99] parties as in main mortgage £400 only remains due consideration – further £100 charged for repayment on Windmill, land etc., as before mentioned Will of John Green of 13 January 1828 ... to brother Francis Green, for his own use and benefit - all his personal estate Said Francis appointed executor Proved (Bedford) 31 December 1830 Lease and release of 7 and 8 September 1832 (being an assignment for the benefit of creditors) [see also X98/99 and 102] i) William Pool ii) Daniel Hipwell and William Halfhead iii) creditors of i) reciting that i) is unable to pay his creditors consideration – 10s paid to i) by ii) i) released to ii) --- 7 acres 2 roods 37 perches in Great Field --- Windmill standing thereon to hold on trust therein declared with powers of sale and division among creditors Lease and release of 4 and 5 January 1837 i) Daniel Hipwell ii) William Pool iii) Francis Green reciting various previous transactions £3000 and arrears of interest was due to iii) contract with iii) for sale of freehold and copy holds at £1365 William Halfhead died on 12 September last divided as £225 for freeholds and £1140 for purchase of copyholds NOW in consideration of £1365 retained by iii) in part satisfaction of said £3000 and interest but in full acquittance of his security i) with consent of ii) released to iii) --- 7 acres 2 roods 37 perches in Great Field, Stevington --- Windmill standing thereon in occupation of ii) Memorandum endorsed on above dated 5 January 1837 Francis acknowledges that he has retained the consideration money of £1365 in part discharge and satisfaction of £3000 and interest.
