Elizabeth Sarah Mothers alias mathers of Cardington - there are a great many things now produced that do not belong to Mrs Smith - the bits of linings, the velvet handkerchief, the white riband on the bonnet , the flowers on the side of the bonnet, one pair of gloves, a pair of mits and the hat that the lace is round (the lace belongs to Mrs Smith but not the net), the scarf and the lace that is on it (but the bits of gimp are Mrs Smith's) and several old flowers and bits of blond and net that Miss Partridge gave her when she was taking stock, and some that she bought from her for 16d, and a black silk velvet bag and lining in the blue bag are her own. There may be more things she could own. Everything that is Mrs Smith's she should wish to own and tell the truth. The velvet on one frock does not belong to Mrs Smith. Sarah Mothers alias Mathers, wife of Richard Mathers of Cardington - there are a great many things more that she knows nothing about and never saw before Mr Coombs brought them out. Part of the crape she knows is not Mrs Smith's. The frock body is hers and the jackanet muslin and a good many bits of lining are hers. She knows nothing about the blond. She gave her daughter money to buy the trimming and the 2 frock bodies - 3 half pence a yard. When she first saw the black riband now on her bonnet she asked her daughter how she came by it. She said it was given to her as an acknowledgement for working over hours. She knows nothing about the riband on the cap.
