- Scope and ContentThomas Summerfield of Dunstable, labourer - about 4 months ago he lost a shovel from his back premises. On 4 May he went into a blacksmith's shop in Dunstable kept by Daniel Parkins and saw his shovel there. He asked James Markham who the shovel belonged to. Markham said it belonged to him and he had given George Cooper a pig trough for it. He then gave Cooper into custody. James Markham of Dunstable, labourer - on Monday 1 May he exchanged a pig trough for a shovel with George Cooper. On Tuesday morning the shovel stood in Daniel Parkins's shop in Dunstable when Thomas Summerfield came into the shop and said the shovel belonged to him.
