- Scope and ContentRobert Rollins of Eaton Bray, tailor - he keeps ducks. He usually turns them out in the morning on the common and calls them to come home at night. On Saturday 29 April he turned out a drake and 2 ducks on Eaton Bray Common. The drake came home by itself soon after 8pm. He searched for the 2 ducks but could not find them. He made known his loss. About 11am the next morning he heard they were at Richard Gadsden's at Northall. He went there and saw his ducks. They were in a kind of duck house, with one white duck with them. He knew them immediately. They are worth 3s. Ann wife of Richard Gadsden of Northall (Bucks) baker - about 4pm on Saturday Geroge Abraham brought 2 ducks to her house at Northall and offered them for sale. She asked how he came by them - he said they were his own and he brought them up. He asked for 3s 6d. She gave him 3s 3d. She ordered them to be put in the duck house and saw them there the next morning. Robert Rollins came to her house on Tuesday morning and claimed the ducks as his property. The ducks produced by Rollins are those she bought from Abraham on Saturday.
