- Scope and ContentHe has made enquiry touching the place of settlement of William Cockman and has ascertained that he was bound apprentice from the Bedford Charity about [blank] years ago to Mr Hensman of St Paul and there resided with and served him for about seven years in the same parish. He believes he has not since made a legal settlement out of the parish of St Paul, Bedford. William Cockman is ill and confined to his bed and is not able by reason of illness and imbecility of mind to be brought to the Police Office to be examined and is now chargeable to St Giles in the Fields, Middlesex.
