Scope and Content
Removal order for Thomas Nottingham, Mary Ann his wife, and Sarah, Thomas & John their chilldren. Settlement examination: He always understood and verily believes that he was last legally settled in the parish of Cardington by having been born there and by his father having been settled there. From May 1834 to the present time he has been residing in Crayford and received occasional relief from Cardington. He hath never done any actto gain a settlement in his own right. He was married to Mary Ann his wife at Crayford 8th August 1824 and hath by her three lawful children names and aged as following Sarah aged nine years, Thomas ahed seven years and John aged three years.
