Mr Rowe said he had been robbed and gave the prisoner into this custody. Mr Rowe believed had had been robbed of about 100 pounds. The prisoner was searched, and 7 shillings and 4 pence was found. The prisoner told Stennett he should also search the cart, which he did. No money was found. The prisoner said that he knew Rowe had money, but not how much and that they had stopped on the way home, and Rowe had fallen down. James Humphreys: landlord of the White Horse public house. Rowe and Spencer came to his house about half past 11 at night. Mr Rowe was asleep on the floor of the cart. He saw his trouser pocket had been cut. Rowe said to Spencer "where is my money" and Spencer replied he did not know. Spencer said Rowe had fallen out of the cart at Barford.
