Letter from Mary Symonds, Bedford, to Eade & Hawkins asking for immediate information about her bond. Nearly five years have elapsed since she put it in the care of Mr Pearse. She hopes it is now enrolled in Chancery and perfectly settled: 'it has cost me a thousand anxious thoughts'. She does not want to send the bond by coach, as she knows that parcels are often lost. She begs for an answer, as she is 'quite unhappy'. A letter will find her at Mr Emery’s Grocer, High Street, Bedford.
