Title
Letter from Charles Bailey, Bedford, to Joseph Eade asking if he has received the parcel sent by coach with its enclosure of ten guineas. He adds: 'Our opponent Richard Warden died at Northampton a short time since. He was just returned from the Continent with his Regiment 3rd Dragoon Guards and the character given of him by a detachment which passed through this place was, that he was considered the greatest blackguard in the Regiment, and that he had been flogged three times for various and atrocious offences.'
