He was born in Manchester in the County of Lancaster. he is 45 years of age. On 1st January 1784 he put himself apprentice by Indenture (now produced) with the consent of his father and grandfather to John Ford of Manchester, tin plate worker, for seven years. no consideration money was paid. He served teh whole of his apprenticeship with his master in Manchester. He has not done any act since that time to the best of his knowledge and belief whereby to gain a settlement in any other place. He was married on 26th instant at St Peter, bedford, to Elizabeth Bonham.
