Folio.89 Rebecca Loddon, wife of James Loddon, a sergeant in His Majesty's 40th regiment of Foot and now serving abroad.. Settlement examination regarding her husband.

She hath heard her husband declare that the place of his last legal settlement is Shadwell, London. She has received a letter from her husband dated 2nd May last (which letter is now produced) wherein he writes that 'The name of the place where he served his time was Bluegate Fields, Shadwell, London, His Master's name John Payne.' She was married to James Loddon at St Peter, Bedford in January 1808 by whom she has two daughters namely Susanna aged four years and Mary aged five weeks, and she now resides in St Cuthbert, Bedford.
