- Scope and ContentHe is 20 years of age, was born in Lidlington. At the age of 11 years at Michaelmas 1804 he let himself to The Right Honourable Earl of Upper Ossory of Ampthill Park as postillion for a year at the wages of nine pounds. He continued in His Lordship's service without any interruption til 24th April 1809 and received the whole of his wages. He has not at any time since done any act whereby to gain a settlement. He was married to his now wife Elizabeth, formerly Elizabeth Gilbert, at St Peters, Bedford in August 1811 and he hath by his wife one child, an infant.
