  • Scope and Content
About 7pm on Tuesday 8 November Eli Childs and Robert Twelvetree brought the waterpails out of his master's kitchen at Newton and set them down, and told Mrs Browning they had brought them there as they did not want to have any trouble about them, and that when Mr Browning's team went back to Keysoe the pails might go with them to the people to whom they belonged. The next morning he put them into the woodyard. They remained in the hovel until the day he saw Mr Browning's maidservant give them up to Dale the police constable.
