- Scope and ContentHe was born at Kilwick in Yorkshire. He is 24 years of age. Some time before Christmas 1802 he let himself to James Hollowell of St Paul, Bedford, gentleman for three years as a hired servant at the wages of twelve guineas for the first year, fourteen guineas for the second year and eighteen guineas for the last year. He lived with his said master the whole three years then let himself again for another year at the wages of twenty guineas. He continued with his said master the whole of that year and received his full wages. He has not done any act since whereby to gain a settlement in his own right to the best of his knowledge and belief, having lived as a weekly servant in several places in and about London. He was married on the 13th instant at St Pancras, County of Middlesex to Mary Chapman.
