- Scope and ContentHe was born at Stevington. he is 20 years of age. He lived as husbandry servant with Mr Poole of Stevington, farmer, for four years. He quitted his service at Michaelmas 1806 and immediately let himself to Mr John Mawby of St Paul, Bedford, victualler, for a year at the wages of three pounds. He continued in such service the whole of that year and let himself to the said Mr Mawby for another year at the wages of five pounds. He continued withhis said Master til his death which happened at Christmas 1807 and received the whole of his wages. He has not since done any act whereby to gain a settlement to the best of his knowledge. He was married at the parish church of St John, Bedford, yesterday the 16th instant to Maria Bland.
