- Scope and ContentHe is about 44 years of age. He was born at Sandford in the County of Somerset. He let himself about Lady Day 1784 to William Aveline of Wellington in Somerset, farmer, farmer, as a husbandry servant at the wages of six guineas per annum. He continued in his said Master about seven years and then enlisted in the Somerset Militia and has remained in the Army ever since without gaining a settlement in any other place than Wellington to the best of his knowledge and belief and that on 6th instant he was married at the church of St Paul aforesaid to Sarah Careless.
