- Date free text6 August 1842
- Production dateFrom: 1842 To: 1842
- Scope and ContentHe was employed by Claridge last May. He remembers being in the yard throwing up the dung. There were 6 of them, including David Baker. He remembers David Baker saying "I've found ...". He saw that Baker had got in his hands something like a shoemaker's punch. He did not know what the thing was. Baker was then at work just under the hovel. It was just before they went for dinner. As they were going out of the yard the shepherd was coming towards the yard. He said to Baker "show them to the shepherd because you don't know whose they are". He went on and heard no more. He does not know what Baker did with them.
