- Scope and ContentHe picked them up on the road after he left Mr Claridge. He remembers seeing a pair picked up when they were throwing up the dung. It was several days after that when he found them in the road. It was not him who picked them up in the yard. He does not remember who it was. He does not know what the shepherd said. he does not remember the shepherd coming into the yard or know what was done with the pliers after he went away. Whe he picked them up he took them home and left them there. There were 6 or 7 of them at work in the yard at the time.
