Deposition of Hannah Rising, wife of Edward Rising of Ipswich, turner - Richard Kelley charged with bigamy

She knows the prisoner Richard Kelley. She was present at his marriage with Amelia Austin at the Church of St Nicholas, Great Yarmouth on 22 April 1839. [Reply to prisoner's question] Her name is Rising. She knew his name as soon as he was married. She remained at Yarmouth some time after. [Reply to the Bench] She knew Amelia Austin since she was a little girl. She never heard of her being married before. They went to school together. After the prisoner and Amelia Austin were married she spent the evening with them. She never saw him before she saw him at the Church Gate. The day after the wedding Kelley and his wife spent the evening at her house.
