- Scope and ContentStephen Swain of Luton, blacksmith - on 10 September he was in Gregory Shaw Field in Luton in the occupation of his master Mr William Clarke senior when he saw John Pedder pulling the legs out of some faggots that were in a spring belonging to Mr William Clarke. Pedder was coming away with the sticks. He asked Pedder what he was going to do with them. Pedder said he was going to burn them and had picked them up in the park. He took the sticks away from Petter and took them home to his master. Thomas Andrew - he saw John Pedder pick up the wood by the side of the faggots which laid in Gregory Shaw Field. He saw Pedder look round before he took them off and then he went away with them.
